Cristel Jazmine

November 2013

Congratulations to Sonya Spielmann on her winning Supreme Champion Led exhibit at Darwin Royal Show with her mare Cristel Jazmine (Jive Magic/WolkensteinII).

Denira

Cristel Jazmine

Sonya purchased Jazmine from us last year and has had some wonderful results already with her both in the show ring and dressage arena. I'm sure the partnership will continue from strength to strength. We wish them all the best and look forward to many more updates!

Jazmine was bred by Emma Bishop and produced by us. We have a lovely foal by this mare, Raphia, now a 3 year old and recently broken to saddle.

Sonara Von Worrenburg

July saw the annual pilgrimage to horse Mecca in Germany for Rastede and the young horse championships in Verden. It was also the first look at our purchase of a Sezuan/De Niro/Hohenstein filly Sonara Von Worrenburg. This filly is exquisite! A black beauty with impeccable bloodlines and attitude to burn. She simply dances across the ground! Absolutely breathtaking.

We had no intention of buying any further horses as we have a full complement and very satisfied with the bloodlines that we now have and the subsequent horses that we can produce. I didn't count on going with my good friend Julia to see a foal that she was interested in. When Andrea brought out the Foundation filly, I was totally mesmerized. Could not take my eyes off her.

Foundina

Foundina (Foundation/Day Dream/Rubinstein)

She absolutely demands that you watch her every move! Luckily, Julia decided on another foal as she already has that line, so we were able to purchase her. Foundina is by the sensational young stallion Foundation(Fidertanz/De Vito/Andiamo) out of a spectacular Elite mare by Day Dream (Don Gregory). Her dam line is pure dressage royalty, Loretta - Sandro Hit/Royal Hit/Diamond Hit and countless other champions. Very excited about this beautiful girl. Both weanlings will grow up in Germany and complete their mare performance tests before coming home to us here in Australia.

Wyandah Rolly and Stuart Tinney

Stuart Tinney and Rolly

Seems as if Stuart and Rolly are a match made in heaven or at least it looks like that at this early stage of his eventing career.

Their second event together at the prestigious Camden Equestriad, saw them score a whopping 79.6% in the dressage arena, followed by clear cross country to notch up their first Intro win together. Super effort and congratulations to Stuart Tinney and team! Considering Rolly is not fulltime with Stuart at this young age, he is doing a truly remarkable job with the young Regardez-Moi gelding (out of a Weltmeyer/Anglo mare).

Backing up at Berrima a few weeks later saw them in the winner's circle once again! Unbelievable results and very exciting for everyone concerned!!

Jack Be Nimble and Megan

Jack Be Nimble (Jive Magic/Regardez-Moi/Richmeed Medallion) has been purchased by a wonderful competition rider from Auckland, New Zealand. It was love at first sight/ride for Alison and we couldn't be more thrilled as it is a perfect fit! It's just so great when you can see the instant bond and we wish Jack and Alison every success and happiness with their new partnership.

To date we have been very lucky that we have managed to find perfect homes for our lovely horses. Thank you to all owners.

Stuart Tinney and Rolly

Stuart Tinney and Wyandah Rolly

The incomparable Stuart Tinney took one of our babies (4YO) Rolly out to his first event at Scone ODE. Stuart has been steadily and slowly introducing Rolly to the gentle Art of Eventing for the past year and his efforts and training were more than rewarded when Rolly took 6th place in the Intro class, with clear cross country and show jumping rounds. Well done to both! We're so proud and honoured that Stuart is working with Rolly and look forward to Camden which is their next competition.

Congratulations also to the breeder of Rolly, Cooramin Sporthorses and Heather Ip.

September 2012

Springtime saw some new faces arriving at Wyandah. Firstly, we welcomed Wieteke who comes to us from the Netherlands and is a wonderful asset to our riding and stable management team. We then warmly welcomed our wonderful trainer and competition rider, Megan from Canada. Megan has trained with some of the top Grand Prix riders in Canada including a long stint with Tom Dvorak as well as running her own training facility near Toronto. She has produced some lovely horses and we wish her every success here in Australia with our talented team of youngsters and competition horses.

germany 2012

July 2012

Once again we were lucky enough to be able to visit Germany this year. Starting in CHIO Aachen, it was a real treat to be able to see Chris Burton win the Eventing in such an amazing arena! Also to watch our own Rozzie Ryan compete on the big stage. Super job!! It is an amazing show and was just as impressive the second time around.

Daytona

Daytona and Benny Mitter

We then went straight to Ludwig Kathmanns in Vechta to visit our horses before the big show at Rastede where the beautiful Daytona Joy was competing. All babies growing beautifully and looking better than we'd hoped. Sometimes it seems like foals can be a bit of a lucky dip...Michael also had a lovely time reconnecting with his stunning 4 yr old Florencio gelding Fairmont. Both Daytona and Farimont are due home the end of September.

Rastede was superb and Daytona did an awesome job despite having to change rider 2 days before the competition! She has since competed with the same rider and won with 8,33. A very talented pair! Daytona Joy is now safely home at Wyandah and training here. Watch news for more...

New Foals

June 2012

Rasmus and Houdini (aka Harry)

Houdini aka Harry (right) and Rasmus

After what seemed like an eternity, the first of our foals to be imported in utero arrived. A gorgeous colt foal by Hotline out of our sensational Swarovski/Fuerst Heinrich mare, Weltferne. What a dude! Super calm (just like Mum), very friendly and both Mum and baby doing great.

Waiting, waiting, waiting...almost 4 weeks past her due date, Dalinea our beautiful Sandro Hit/De Niro mare finally produced a super colt foal by Blue Hors Romanov. What a cutie! Both doing well despite being foaled in the Australian winter. Guess it's almost like German spring!

Mares Arrive from Germany

December 2011

After a delay in Australian Quarantine due to the discovery of a US tick which added 9 days to the 3 week quarantine period, Dalinea S (Sandro Hit/De Niro/Weltmeyer) and Weltferne (Swarovski/Fuerst Heinrich/Weltmeyer) arrived at Wyandah and into their quarantine area on the farm. As they're both in foal, they are required to remain quarantined here until 20 days after their foals are born. Both mares have settled in beautifully despite having to endure rugs and fly masks due to the virulent local fly and mosquito population. Lovely girls have taken it all in their stride and are an absolute pleasure to do anything with! Will keep this space updated for future developments with these 2 glorious mares.

Wyandah added 2 new weanling fillies to the contingent due to arrive post mare performance test from Germany.

Denira

Denira Von Worrenburg

The first a spectacular De Niro/Hohenstein/Bolero filly named Denira and the second, a beautiful Blue Hors Romanov/Rotspon/Donnerhall filly, Rising Sun. Both girls will grow up in Germany under the watchful eye of Julia Wentscher at Ludwig Kathmanns. Can't wait to have them here!

Germany 2011

July 2011

This month saw Michael and Susie make a long overdue trip to Germany to have a look at the horses that we already have there, go to CHIO at Aachen, try to find a dressage horse for Susie and research future breeding stallions.

CHIO was simply amazing. Saw all the stars of dressage and show jumping and quite a good contigent of eventers as well. So impressed with the organisation of this event. It was breathtaking! Definitely going this year as well.

Korina

We met our 2 beautiful rising 2yr old fillies for the first time: Korina (Blue Hors Romanov/Dimaggio/Lefevre) and Royal Coeur (Fidertanz/Dimaggio/Rover). Both mares will do their performance test in Germany in 2013 before coming back to Australia.

Daytona at 1st phase of her mare performance test

Daytona Joy

After searching the length and breadth of Germany, I finally found the horse of my dreams at Ludwig Kathmanns where we have our horses agisted. Much to the horror of Heath (my sometime instructor), I've ended up with a young horse but what a horse! Temperament of an angel and presence to burn. Black, gorgeous and 173cm by Johnson out of a Dormello/Feinerstern mare.

Daytona Joy (aka DJ) is staying to do the qualifying for Bundeschampionat and then home to Aus. Stunning!

Not to be outdone, Michael decided that he needed a dressage horse too and purchased the very beautiful Farimont. He's by Florencio also out of a Dormello mare. He's also staying for further training at Kathmanns before coming back home.

Rastede was superb and Daytona did an awesome job despite having to change rider 2 days before the competition! She has since competed with the same rider and won with 8,33. A very talented pair
